How to engage

Four steps, each one in writing. You can stop after any step and keep everything you have been given.

Four steps

  1. 1 · check-up

Free. About an hour, on site or remote. I look and change nothing.

  2. 2 · plan

A written plan in priority order, with the cost to run of each item. It is yours whether or not I do the work.

  3. 3 · project

A fixed scope, quoted in writing before work starts. Staged, tested, then cut over, with a rollback written down first.

  4. 4 · handover

Admin accounts, licences, diagrams and the backup schedule, all in your name.

What you get in writing

How billing works

There are no prices on this site. Every project is quoted in writing before it starts. Licences and subscriptions are billed by the vendor directly to you. What I charge for a project does not depend on which product you choose.

Care after the project

Once a project is done, I can keep it running: updates reviewed and applied, alerts checked on business days, accounts opened and closed as people join and leave, and a one-page monthly report in plain English. Care starts only after a project, under a written service agreement.

Referrals

When the right answer is somebody else, I say so: a vendor, a specialist or a software company. You get the referral in writing with the reason, and the choice stays yours. If a vendor would pay me a referral fee, I disclose it in writing before you decide.

If you are a bookkeeper or a supplier and one of your clients needs IT help, an email introduction is enough.
